Storyline:  In San Francisco, private detective Sam Spade and his partner Miles Archer meet a new client, Ruth Wonderly, who claims she is searching for her missing sister. Archer takes on the case but is killed that night. Spade learns that Wonderly's real name is Brigid O'Shaughnessy and her story was fabricated. She convinces Spade to investigate further, leading him into a complex web involving a priceless statuette, the Maltese Falcon.
