A married woman carries on an extramarital relationship with another man; her husband catches them in a romantic embrace in their bedroom. A woman is secretly in love with a man who later marries.

A bomb is set which leads to a mine disaster, killing two miners. A man, whose body is found floating in a river, is said to have committed suicide. As a result of a mine accident, a woman temporarily loses her vision. Two men attempt to kill another man and this triggers a mine cave-in, trapping three men inside the mine; this results in the death of one man who left lifesaving medication behind. A twister kills at least two people when a tree falls on them.
