Storyline:  Two convicts, St. Louis and Dannemora Dan, escape prison to help their friend Steve, a paroled inmate trying to leave his criminal past behind. Steve, who has fallen in love with Judy, an inmate in a neighboring women’s prison, promises to wait for her after her release. But when they return to their New England hometown, Steve is blackmailed by Frosby, Judy’s former employer, into participating in a fraudulent scheme.
