Storyline:  A novelist, seeking inspiration for his next book, brings home a brash young chorus girl known as The Brat. His snobbish family is appalled by her arrival at their estate, which houses his mother and his brother Steven. Despite the initial tension, The Brat's street-smart wisdom begins to transform the family. She helps Steven embrace his individuality, challenges their rigid values, and confronts the novelist's selfish intentions.
