Storyline:  A Tramp finds himself mistakenly accused of being a pickpocket and chased by both the police and the real thief, who hid the stolen goods in his pockets. Fleeing, he inadvertently becomes the star of a circus performance. The tramp then falls for the ringmaster's stepdaughter, Merna, who is mistreated by her stepfather. He helps the circus flourish, but complications arise with the arrival of a handsome new performer.
