Storyline:  Around a bell maker’s home near Marburg, rumors persist of a treasure hidden during the Turkish invasion of 1683. Most dismiss the tale, but an old worker remains convinced. A young traveling worker, initially doubtful, is persuaded by Beate to take it seriously, and both he and the old worker locate the treasure. When the master plots to remove the young man and secure Beate, she learns of it and escapes with the worker she loves.
