Storyline:  Alejandro Amenábar's film, starring Eduardo Noriega and Penélope Cruz, tells the story of César, a man who wakes up in a mental hospital with no memory of how he got there. He retains only fragments of his past: a fleeting encounter with the love of his life and an accident that left him disfigured. As he faces his new reality and rejection, the boundaries of reality begin to blur.
