Hope Floats (1998)

Birdee Pruitt learns that her husband Bill is cheating on her with her best friend via live television, due to a public exposure on a gossip show. Feeling utterly humiliated, she leaves with her daughter to be with her mother Ramona, while trying to rearrange her life and her future outlook on love.
