Storyline:  A group of affluent individuals hosts weekly dinners where each member invites an unsuspecting eccentric to mock their unusual hobbies. Pierre, an enthusiastic participant, encounters complications when he injures his back before the scheduled event. His invited guest, Mr. Pignon, attempts to assist despite causing additional problems involving Pierre's personal relationships, financial matters, and romantic entanglements. Through escalating mishaps, Mr. Pignon inadvertently demonstrates unexpected resourcefulness while Pierre's intentions and circumstances become increasingly compromised.
