There is a close up shot of the needle being pushed into the flesh of her breast, and her nipple and areola are visible from close up. Legs proceeds to create a similar tattoo on the other girls' breasts (some which show bare breasts, others which wear a bra). Legs remains topless throughout the scene. The scene is not sexual, though there is romantic tension between Legs and Maddy.

In a supermarket, Violet and Rita talk explicitly about sex while practicing putting a condom on a zucchini.

Romantic tension is present between Maddy and Legs throughout the film. They have a tender moment where Maddy asks Legs how she'd feel if she told her she loved her. Legs reiterates with "I'd take however you'd want me to."

The relationship between Goldie and her father is strained and many viewers will either be upset or disturbed with the physical abuse.

The final scene with Legs and Maddy is a bittersweet moment.
