Scream (1996)

Directed by Wes Craven, this iconic movie from the 90's presents the story of Sidney and his high school friends. The protagonists become involved in a series of murders that begin with sinister phone calls, in which a mysterious masked character proposes a deadly game based on trivia about horror movies. With performances by Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and Matthew Lillard that will go down in history, "Scream" is one of the highest-grossing slashers in history and a box office smash hit.
