Storyline:  FBI biochemist Stanley Goodspeed is called upon after Marine General Francis Hummel takes Alcatraz and 81 tourists hostage. Hummel, seeking justice for fallen war veterans, threatens to launch VX gas warheads. Stanley, who can disarm the bombs, is paired with John Mason, a former British agent and the only man to escape Alcatraz, despite Mason's animosity towards the FBI. When their SEAL escort is eliminated, Stanley and John must work through Alcatraz alone to rescue the hostages.
