Storyline:  In the 23rd century, Capt. Kirk helps save two ships from a deadly energy field but is lost in the process. Decades later, Capt. Picard and the crew of the new Enterprise uncover that Dr. Soran, a survivor of that event, intends to reenter the field by destroying a nearby star. Picard must join forces with an unexpected ally to stop him.
