Storyline:  Shekar and Shaila fall in love despite their families’ opposition, rooted in his Hindu background and her Muslim upbringing. They marry and later raise twin sons with both traditions. When violent unrest erupts in Bombay, the couple’s families confront their conflict as they work together to protect the children.
