Storyline:  Stuart Smalley, a "Saturday Night Live" character devoted to a 12-Step Program, faces a series of personal and family crises. After losing his public access TV show, he must plead with his domineering boss, confront his father’s alcoholism and his brother’s drug abuse, and support his struggling mother and sister, all while relapsing into old habits despite guidance from his sponsors.
