Storyline:  Junbao (Jet Li) and Tienbao, raised as monks in the Shaolin temple, are expelled after a violent dispute. Struggling in the outside world, Junbao joins rebels fighting a corrupt governor, while ambitious Tienbao enters the governor’s army. Betrayal shatters their friendship, leading Junbao to madness and then mastery of Tai Chi, culminating in a final, tragic duel.
