Storyline:  During a party at a Japanese corporation’s headquarters, a professional mistress is found dead after what appears to be violent sexual activity. Detective Web Smith is assigned to the case, but before he reaches the scene he is instructed to bring in John Connor, a former police captain with deep knowledge of Japanese corporate culture. At the site, Smith assumes the situation is straightforward, while Connor insists that hidden interests complicate everything.
