Storyline:  In 1963, on the eve of deployment to Vietnam, Eddie “Birdlace” joins his friends in a “Dogfight,” a cruel game where each must bring the least attractive woman to a party. He invites Rose, a shy pacifist who later uncovers the truth. As Eddie develops genuine feelings, he must face the damage done and try to reconnect with her.
