Storyline:  In the year 2019, post-apocalyptic Neo-Tokyo is ruled by chaos and corruption. When an accident gives biker gang member Tetsuo uncontrollable psychic powers, he becomes embroiled in a government conspiracy linked to Akira, a long-buried force of destruction. As his powers spiral out of control, his friend Kaneda fights to stop him before the city faces annihilation.
