Storyline:  In post-WWII Sicily, young Salvatore "Totò" befriends Alfredo, the projectionist at Cinema Paradiso, finding both a mentor and a father figure. Enchanted by film and hindered by the village priest’s censorship, Totò’s dreams begin to take shape. Decades later, now a famous director, he returns home after a loss, revisiting his celluloid-filled childhood and the bittersweet echoes of his first love.
