Storyline:  Set in 1960s Hong Kong, Painted Faces follows Master Yu Jim-yuen of the China Drama Academy as he rigorously trains a group of young opera students — later known as the Seven Little Fortunes, including Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, and Yuen Biao. Through discipline, hardship, and loyalty, the film depicts the bonds and sacrifices behind their later fame.
