Storyline:  In El Salvador, the new archbishop speaks out against the violence used by the government to crush the guerrilla movement. As he denounces the death squads, attacks on priests increase and churches are shut down. Based on true events, the story follows Romero’s transformation and ends with his assassination in March 1980.
