Storyline:  Danny Rose, a struggling New York talent manager, represents eccentric and mostly unsuccessful performers. When he agrees to help his client Lou Canova with a personal problem involving Lou’s mistress Tina, Danny is mistaken for her lover and hunted by gangsters. The mix-up leads him into a series of comic and dangerous misadventures told in flashback by fellow comedians.
