Romancing the Stone (1984)

Joan Wilder, a writer, receives a treasure map that was supposed to go to her recently murdered brother-in-law. Her sister Elaine is kidnapped in Colombia and those holding her captive demand to exchange her for the map. Deceived, Joan gets lost in the jungle of that country and meets Jack Colton, a man who agrees to help her. An entertaining and very funny adventure movie, featuring a couple with great chemistry embodied by Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas. Don't miss this '80s hit.
