Vaudeville (1986)

In "Vaudeville", the traditional characters are the husband, the wife and the lover. The curtain rises on a worn-out couple. The husband is tired of playing the eternal husband. The wife would like to live a last love story. The lover, seducer in the soul, dreams only of slippers. As a bonus, there is the brother-in-law, Santa Claus in a department store who carries jealousy in his sack. So, everyone changes roles: the seducer plays the husband, the husband, the lover, the wife, the mistress, and the jealous one willingly plays the widower. It is not so easy to change jobs, to be what you are not, to play another part. Vaudeville" returns, with its slamming doors, the old husband and his tenderness, the wife and her newfound coquetry, the seducer and his aging victims, and the brother-in-law and his vital jealousy. And the curtain falls on past laughter.
