The main character acquires his throne through manipulation and the intentional suffocation of the dying emperor. He slowly loses his sanity over the course of the film, and brings about many strange policies and decisions. Several characters' lives are in jeopardy at one time or another.

R-rated version 102 min. This version has a lot of blood and has all of the partial nudity scenes.
