Plot Summary

"Rocky" is a sports drama film released in 1976. It was directed by John G. Avildsen and written by Sylvester Stallone, who also starred in the lead role. The film follows the story of Rocky Balboa, a small-time boxer from Philadelphia who gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fight against the heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed. The movie received critical acclaim upon its release and became a commercial success, winning three Academy Awards.
