Tamura visits a club while searching for Maria. A bellydancer performs a typically cinematic routine in a skimpy outfit. In the same scene, a lingerie-clad Maria performs a striptease while under the effect of a non-consensually-administered aphrodisiac. Abdullah, wearing only underwear, rips open her top, exposing her breasts and forces a kiss. Some of this material is revisited momentarily in flashback later in the film.

Characters frequently engage in gunplay. Although it's not especially realistic, the shooting often results in on screen casualties, including (bloodless) entry wounds to heads, an exploding torso, and bloody clothing.

Tamura is kicked and beaten to the point of spitting up blood all over his clothes. He still has a black eye and facial bruises in later scenes.
