Through His Eyes (2016)

The story of our short focusses on the topic of how society perceives and evaluates beauty. We see a mother, who is going through her daily routine whilst raising a child. We can see how tiresome it may be, especially when you are expected to be not just a great mother, but also a 'perfect' woman. What is perfection? The answer will be given by a child, who thanks to his innocence is not conscious of what is 'good' and what is 'bad' according to our society; he is still free in his thoughts. As women, we are pushed to deny our natural role, because we are told that to succeed you need to behave in a masculine way, you have to guarantee to your boss that you will never ever think about the crazy idea of building a family for neither a second of your life. We have to be determined, strong, cool, beautiful, smart... just in order to keep the work position. But some of us, they are so brave that they decide to become mothers anyway, careless of what will happen. We dedicate our short to these people, these women, who fight every day in a society that is not made for them anymore and who often feel overwhelmed by their daily duties. We want them to know how valuable they are! And even if they are messy and tired, and they don't look like photoshopped models on the covers of magazines, for their children they are the most beautiful women in the world and they will always be.
