Girl on a Swing (2017)

Today's the day. Ste's about to ask Lucy the most important question of his life...Then he spots Sam. Sam's alone. She's distressed and distraught, sat on a child's swing in the middle of a rundown playground. It doesn't take much to realise something's not right. But when Ste and Lucy go to check on the upset girl, their concerns spiral into a battle of life and death. It's cold. Sam's drenched. She's soaked from head to foot. By her feet stands an empty bottle of turps. In her pocket, a lighter. Under her thick coat, something sleeps. Is this a cry for help? A cry for attention? Or are these the tears of a girl who's reached the edge? A girl who's ready to jump? Or just a girl on a swing? Sometimes you need to get really low, before you can start getting better. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. When life gives you turps, you set something on fire.
