The Lion King (2019)

Though the script is not as good as the original one, the special effects of this new edition of "The Lion King" represent a huge progress in the field of computer generated animation.

I didn’t grow up watching the animation, so I had no expectations for this movie, but I ended up liking it. It didn’t bother me how realistic the animals were, I actually enjoyed that. The new versions of the songs called my attention, they are really good.

I would say that there is not much to say about this live action because it is practically the same film as the original, only that it is poorly constructed, with a questionable dubbing and a direction that is not bad but it is not even the shadow of what it was in its animated version, not even the soundtrack hit as much as the original classic did. A film without a soul and with nothing to contribute and that is only kept alive thanks to nostalgia and visual effects.
