Storyline:  While the United States was competing with Russia to put man into space, NASA found a trio of women experienced in the field of mathematics and they became the brains behind the gigantic operation. In doing so, Dorothy, Mary and Katherine expose the racial barriers that hinder their lives, becoming true role models of their time. The film balances drama with moments of comedy, intelligent dialogue and a great cast highlighted by Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe.
