Matt is a struggling actor looking for a job. Because he is a big guy he is offered a job as a bouncer at a night club in LA even though he has no experience. Matt assures his girlfriend, Kristen that he will be all right at his new job. Matt is schooled on how to run a door by Vada, the head of security. Matt then meets Vivian, there is an immediate attraction. Then the local drug-dealers, Joe and Biggie recruit Matt to work for them. Matt starts to fall head first into the late night party scene. In a back alley, Matt is challenged to fight back against a helpless patron who is being held against the wall by four other bouncers. Matt punches him in the stomach and walks away. Matt starts to loose control. He is later accused of theft by the bar owner and wild-man Cameron. Upon coming home to Kristen, Matt is faced with the reality that his relationship may be over. Meanwhile, Jordy, a young bar back introduces his girlfriend, Ana to Cameron who hires her to be the new bartender. Ana, immediately falls for the temptation of the party culture ultimately ending her relationship. Jordy walks in on Ana at a motel after party after she apparently had sex with Biggie. Jordy drops to his knees. Ultimately, Jordy returns to the motel with a gun and shoots Biggie in the back of the head then turns the gun on himself. Wayne, a multi-millionaire arrives at the night-club in style. He recruits Matt to live in his mansion in Beverly Hills as his new bodyguard. Matt agrees. But after a series of uncomfortable situations, Matt realizes that Wayne is a sociopath and a bully. But before he can escape, he must help Carrie, a young model from Canada, from the seduction of Wayne.
