Storyline:  Estrella, 10, has three wishes. Her first—to have her missing mother back—comes true, but in a terrifying way: her mother returns as a ghost. Hoping to escape, Estrella joins a gang of kids orphaned by violence. But she soon learns that the dead never truly leave, and in a world of brutality, wishes don’t come true the way you hope.
