Molly's Game (2017)

Plot Summary

The film is based on the memoirs of Molly Bloom, a former olympic skier who becomes a target of the FBI when she becomes involved in a series of clandestine poker games. When she misses the Olympics, Molly moves to Los Angeles where she works as a waitress and simultaneously uses her entrepreneurial skills to attract millionaire gamblers. As in Aaron Sorkin's films, there is intelligent dialogue combined with fast-paced editing and a splendid performance by Jessica Chastain.
