IN THE LAND OF STRONG WOMEN is a hybrid portrait of the Austrian painter Maria Lassnig. A feature film about her art of painting and her love stories, a documentary film about the harshness of the male art scene that jumped out at her. Or the other way around. A film about her artistic passion, which nevertheless prevailed. Or just because of that.
