Keeping your Enemies Close

"Keeping Your Enemies Close" is the working title of a new short film in development with Lead The Way Productions: It is an old style comedy crime caper but brought up to date. Our main character is released from prison and is helped by an old friend who wants him to go back to a life of crime for the "Big Job" which will set them up for life. The job is the kidnapping of the daughter of a local gangster but the brains behind the job is the girl herself who is getting back at her father for we know not what. We meet various characters along the way and as well as the comedy emanating from the script we have various running gags throughout (Jess is constantly being soaked by buckets of water, Dean starts out fit but as the film progresses ends up with 2 black eyes and a broken nose, Travis (the main protagonist) is hard of hearing.......). The twist comes at the end when we find out our main character has set the whole thing up with the police to get back at the 2 people he thinks set him up and got him put away. The twist on the twist is that his hearing problem has led to him setting up the wrong people..
