Der Alte und die Nervensäge (2020)

Shortly before his 75th birthday, Wilhelm Schürmann has no desire to adapt his lifestyle even a little to his age and his poor health. When, after a fainting spell, he is supposed to give up driving - at least for the time being - and move in with his daughter Bettina, the idiosyncratic old man decides to leave. Wilhelm hits the road with his beloved vintage camping bus - but not alone and anything but voluntarily. The 16-year-old runaway Felix, who drove away with his stupid father a weekend ago, is brazenly clinging to Wilhelm like a burr. Felix doesn't care where he's going - the main thing is to get away. The taciturn Wilhelm, on the other hand, has a plan in which the talkative nuisance gets in the way: he wants to repeat the holiday tour of the past and remember his deceased wife. In order to have his peace, he tries to get rid of Felix as quickly as possible - no matter how. However, the cheeky teenager stubbornly maintains his place in the passenger seat, and Wilhelm soon has to realize that his nostalgia journey is going differently than expected. Meanwhile, Wilhelm's son Martin and Felix' single mother Ines are hot on their heels. This involuntary duo also has to pull themselves together to even find out where the journey is going.
