Kaiserschmarrndrama (2021)

The deeply relaxed days at the Eberhofer-Hof are finally numbered: The idyll is to be thoroughly optimized with a new semi-detached house. Eberhofer's long-term friend Susi, along with Franz's hated brother Leopold, of all people, is pushing ahead with the construction in order to unite the two families in a happy semi-detached house with a shared sauna, and it's always cheaper. In addition to Franz, his dad's plans also go against the grain and he protests against the "gentrification of his farm" by quickly occupying the construction crane. Eberhofer's only haven of peace, his dog Ludwig, also worries him because of increasing old age. Luckily, a new murder case soon frees the policeman Franz from the domestic chaos. The slain jogger turns out to be the village webcam girl Simone, who also counted two of Eberhofer's friends among her customers: the butcher Simmerl and the always love-mad heating engineer Flötzinger. He has just rekindled his affair with "der Beischl", which is why he now lives in constant fear of her boyfriend, who is the boss of the local rocker gang. The Simone case would be a good opportunity for the Eberhofer/Birkenberger dream team to work, but unfortunately the proven investigator duo broke up in a car accident. Well, only a few of Rudi Birkenberger's bones are broken. But Rudi, although he is officially considered cured, is still in a wheelchair, blames Franz for the accident and now wants all-round care at the Eberhofer-Hof. When a second corpse finally appears, Rudi's ambition is finally aroused, because of all things, the SOKO around Thin Lizzy (Nora Waldstätten) doesn't want the dream team to leave the field under any circumstances.
