Storyline:  In Dakar, 17-year-old Ada is promised to a wealthy man but secretly loves Souleiman, a young construction worker. When Souleiman and his co-workers attempt to migrate by sea, they vanish. Days later, Ada’s wedding is disrupted by a fire and a strange fever spreads. As she struggles with loss and duty, signs suggest that Souleiman has returned.
