Something Rotten is set in the 1590's. Brothers, Nick and Nigel, are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of William Shakespeare, the Renaissance Rockstar. A local soothsayer foretells that the future of theater involves singing, dancing, and acting at the same time. The Bottom Brothers set out to write the world's very first musical. This is not the original stage show but a professional, re-imagined, full version of the show. The production is produced with a full cast and full musical pit recorded remotely and virtually staged.
