Storyline:  Sarah Devine (Shailyn Pierre-Dixon, THE BOOK OF NEGROES) is the most precious thing to her parents, Paul and Elisha (Arnold Pinnock, THE PORTER; Joanne Boland, THE HANDMAID’S TALE). They live in a post-apocalyptic world that has nothing to do with the supernatural. Humanity is facing environmental collapse, extreme scarcity of essential resources, and an epidemic that isolates communities. The Devine family lives deep in the forest, away from prying eyes, fiercely guarding their hidden well. When a young man named Jamie (Idressa Sanogo, ROBYN HOOD) is injured, their secret haven is put at risk. Unsure of his intentions or whether he carries the disease, Paul and Elisha are suspicious, but Sarah becomes attached to Jamie. Upon learning that their well is failing, Sarah goes to Jamie’s fortified residence, hoping to find help to make their precious water source functional again. There, she meets Gabriel (Sheila McCarthy, WOMEN TALKING), a commanding matriarch who communicates in strange parables. Sarah remains wary of Gabriel, and as her parents panic over her disappearance and Sarah becomes a target, the ever-present danger pushes everyone to the brink.
