Three Glasses of Mcloughlin's Whisky (2020)

On what feels like the most laborious day of her entire working life, barmaid Cassie slogs through her job at the small commuter-town pub known as The Spotted Hen. Throughout the arduous afternoon, endless evening and non-stop night, she is visited by three old-school players connected by their obsessions with the stolen portrait painting of Mrs McLoughlin and the bottle of whisky that shares the old Scottish name. The first is jolly cop Mickey who recounts the case from the '70s where he found, and stole a copy of the portrait. Following is the crook known as Archie, the first thief of the painting. The final gentleman to grace Cassie with his presence is the original buyer Tony. Swayed by Cassie's charm and the whisky, the men reminisce and confess about their dealings with the portrait. During her shift, Cassie constructs the story behind the painting piece by piece. Through the use of suave sets, groovy costumes, cool characters and retro music, the story explores temptation and obsession and asks why we value the things we value.
