Storyline:  Max Bernal, a struggling comedian living with his father Stan, shares custody of his autistic son, Ezra, with his ex-wife Jenna. When a misunderstanding involving Ezra’s school leads to his placement in a restrictive special-needs environment and forced medication, Max feels his son’s spirit stifled. Taking matters into his own hands, Max "kidnaps" Ezra and embarks on a spontaneous cross-country journey, hoping to show him a fuller life.
