Revelations (2023)

Revelations is a dark comedy-drama set in a church parking lot during the pandemic. The story follows two strangers, a cat-loving Priest with a secret drinking problem, and an impatient Driver who accidentally runs over his cat when dropping off her devout Mother at the drive-through confession. When Mother goes on a bathroom break, Driver and Priest are forced to stew an awkward limbo that results in a reluctant game of Truth or Dare to pass the time. As they navigate various questions and 'dares', pain points emerge and walls get slowly disarmed. What starts as a frigid and hostile facade slowly morphs into honest and raw conversation. As the game advances, more challenging revelations about loneliness, faith, and inner demons are unmasked. All the while, both characters conceal darker revelations: one involving Driver's destruction of Priest's most treasured companion, and the perplexing alcohol addiction he secretly harbors on the job.
