Storyline:  The desires of Edmund Dantès, a young man full of hope, are about to be fulfilled, and he will finally be able to unite his life with Mercedes, his beloved. However, his success provokes jealousy and resentment. Betrayed by those he least expected and accused of being part of a Bonapartist conspiracy, he is arrested without trial and taken to the Château d'If. In prison, he meets Abbé Faria, who reveals to him the existence of a famous treasure hidden on the island of Monte Cristo. From there, Dantès begins to plan an astonishing escape and a meticulously planned revenge against those who have betrayed him.
