Storyline:  A company has created intelligent androids capable of replacing humans in their jobs. With his wife Maggie in the hospital, Nick agrees to his daughter's request and acquires Alice, a sophisticated artificial intelligence with near-human appearance and exceptional abilities, to help him with household chores. But what seems like a solution soon becomes a problem when Alice's helpful behavior changes, and the android develops an obsessive desire to stay with Nick and his family.
