The Spectrum of Light (2024)

When Vale arrives home, he is met with an eviction notice, exacerbating an already difficult situation. Feeling isolated due to strained relationships with his parents and a lack of trust from his closest friends, Vale decides to watch the latest recording with his counselor, Dr. Owens. Their conversation delves into Vale's passion for art and his grandfather, with Vale bringing out his sketchbook to illustrate a memory using a blue glow-stick. As their discussion progresses, Vale's mind projects a state of conflict and trepidation titled The Grey State, where a hidden Violinist haunts him. Vale hesitantly tells Dr. Owens what his art means and its correlation with the people around him. Growing frustrated and confused, Vale shines a red glow-stick over the sketch of his grandfather, projecting a moment of great despair and distress for Vale as he clinches a bloodied knife in agony.
