Storyline:  With her debut feature I LIVE HERE NOW, Julie Pacino immerses us in a nightmarish psychodrama reminiscent of David Lynch, Dario Argento, and the Coen brothers. Rose (Lucy Fry) is trapped in a motel where reality blurs, making it impossible to distinguish past from present, dream from wakefulness. Shot on 35mm, the film explores the pursuit of perfection, the weight of generational trauma, and the invisible grip of capitalism tightening around the characters’ necks. The story captures the psychological instability of modern life—fractured and disorienting. Pacino portrays a strange and unsettling world filled with dreamlike hallucinations. But the film’s surrealism never feels random, as Pacino understands that dreams are rooted in intuition and collective memory. This is a visceral film, never weird just for the sake of being weird.
