In 2016, a right-wing terrorist attack at the Olympia mall killed nine people, all with migrant backgrounds. In 1982, Iranian filmmaker Sohrab Shahid Saless created Rückblickend betrachtet in response to growing racism in West Germany. The film explores the connections between space, history, and the rise of far-right ideology, depicting scenes of buildings marked with racist slogans.
